This Month @ The Library
MAY 2023
Message from the Director
The architects for the Library renovation, JM Booth and Associates of New Bedford, are creating working drawings for the project.  The biggest change to the appearance of the building’s exterior will be the relocation of the ramp at the entrance of the building.  The current ramp is built directly against the foundation and front wall of the Library and is one of the most serious causes of water damage to both the brick on the exterior of the building and to the interior wall behind.  The approach to the new ramp will still be on the Grove Street side of the Library and will be completely separated from the foundation.  It will be exciting when the work begins.  Again, there may be disruptions but we are hoping to maintain normal operations to the greatest extent possible.
