,What a fun-filled summer we had in the children's departments. September will see a calmer schedule as some of our youngest patrons adjust back to school. Miss Meg visits the library on Monday, September 11, for her fun-filled Music and Motion program. This program will be split into two sessions based on age, with ages 2.9 years-4.5 years meeting at 10 am, and ages 4.5 years-6 years meeting at 10:30 am.
Story times return Thursdays at 10 am, starting on September 7. Monday story times will begin September 18 at 10 am. These programs are best for children ages 1-6 with a caregiver. We will hear stories, sing songs, use finger play and movement, and then finish with a simple craft!
Since Summer Hours continue through September (closing at 7 pm Mondays through Thursdays and at 1 pm on Fridays and Saturdays), we will have modified STEAM cart days. Drop in any time Tuesdays between 10 am and 6 pm or between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm on Saturdays for a new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activity! Some of our activities include Snap Circuits (for children ages 5 and up with an adult), Magna Tiles, Keva Planks, Play-doh, Marble Run, Crafts, Pattern Play, and Legos! Find each day's activity on our website.
