Relaxation and Mindfulness
Wednesday, July 15, 2:00 pm
We practice mindfulness so we can learn how to recognize when our minds are doing their normal everyday acrobatics. Meditation helps us have a much healthier relationship with ourselves and, by extension, with others. Relaxation, meditation, and mindfulness ground us during times of stress and anxiety. Learn techniques and enjoy a relaxing break. Presented by Parker Life. Registration is required. 
New Jersey and the American Revolution: 1775-1781
Thursday, July 16, 6:00 pm
Brian Armstrong, an independent historian, researcher, and author lectures throughout the state on local history. He holds a BA in History and a BA in Political Science from American University. Mr. Armstrong is the President of the League of Historical Societies of New Jersey and past President of the South River Historical & Preservation Society. In his presentation, Mr. Armstrong will go over New Jersey’s activities during the American revolution due to its strategic location and numerous military engagements. Profiles of famous patriots and soldiers associated with America’s quest for freedom are featured. Famous battles and events that occurred in the “Crossroads of the American Revolution” such as Washington Crossing the Delaware, Battle of Trenton, Battle of Princeton, Battle of Monmouth, and many more are covered.
Registration is required.
Murder Mystery Night: Death by Chef’s Knife
Thursday, July 30, 6:00 pm
Murder Mystery Night is a night for solving a crime. Come individually or as a group to sort through the evidence and find the killer! A dossier of evidence, clues, and maybe some red herrings will be provided for your crime solving pleasure. A smart device will be required for this program as there are digital clues to follow. Maximum six people per group. Please register only one person per group. Registration is required.

Social Work Program @ MCLS
The Mercer County Library System has begun a Social Work program to assist patrons with navigating social service organizations available at the local, county, and state level. Appointments with the social worker and a social work intern will soon be available at the Lawrence, Hightstown, Ewing, and Robbinsville branches. Please note that the social worker will not be providing clinical services.
