Friends of the Lawrence Library Book SaleEarly Admission: Thursday, May 16, 1:00 – 4:00 pm Friday, May 17, 10:00 – 4:30 pm Saturday, May 18, 10:00 – 4:30 pm Sunday, May 19, 12:30 – 4:30 pm Monday, May 20, 10:00 – 4:30 pm Thousands of used, gently-read books will be available at the Friends of the Lawrence Library Book Sale. Payment is by cash or check only. A special Early Admission event will be held Thursday, May 16, 1:00 – 4:00 pm where the public will have the first chance to get some amazing deals. Entry to the Early Admission is free for current members of the Friends of the Lawrence Library, $5 for the general public, and $20 for patrons with scanners. Voting in Mercer County, New JerseyTuesday, May 21, 6:00 -7:30 pmWith a Presidential Election Year underway, this presentation will explain the three ways to vote in New Jersey, as well as the safeguards that are in place through our voting systems here in Mercer County. The presenters, Mercer County Clerk, Paula Sollami Covello, Superintendent of Elections, Walker M. Worthy, Jr. and Board of Elections Chair, Jill Moyer, will review our voter registration process as well as the dates and locations for early voting and how to vote by mail. They will explain how these options will make it more convenient for voters to cast a vote and why it is safe to do so. Furthermore, the officials will demonstrate how to use the new Dominion touch screen voting machines and scanners that Mercer County now uses in all towns on Election Day.
