Open House: Washington Crossing Radio Control Flyers Association
Saturday, June 6, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
The Washington Crossing Radio Control Flyers Association will have a variety of model aircraft on display throughout the library. Members will be available to answer questions about building and flying model aircraft, as well as any inquiries about the association in general.  Registration is not required.

Freedom Seekers

Saturday, June 13, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
Freedom on the Move is a database of North American newspaper advertisements placed by enslavers and jailers. Learn how to transcribe the “runaway ads” that were printed in newspapers by those who claimed people as their property. Taken collectively, the ads constitute a detailed, concise, and rare source of information about the experiences of enslaved people. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop; a limited number are available on site. Please register at events.mcl.org.
Journal Writing Club
Tuesdays, June 16, 23 & 30, 1:00 – 2:30 pm
Calling all introverts, extroverts, and everyone in between!  Everyone is welcome to join our new journal writing club. Doodles, prompts and snippets will be based in part on New York Times bestselling author Suleika Jaouad's The Book of Alchemy: A Creative Practice for an Inspired Life. Led by Ilene Renshaw, journaling enthusiast. Please register at events.mcl.org; sign up for one or all sessions.​

Hopewell Valley Come Out and Play at the Library
Thursday, June 4, 10:30 am
Join us for a nature themed outdoor storytime. Learn about nature with books, finger plays and songs about the great outdoors! Open to children ages 5 and under, accompanied by an adult. Children will receive a take-home craft after story time. Space is limited. Small chairs will be provided but feel free to bring your own chairs or a blanket for your family. Rain or shine event! Registration is required. 
Unique Creatures
Wednesday, June 24, 6:30 pm
This show is described as learning disguised as entertainment. Get a chance to meet and learn about some of the most interesting animals from all over the world. Open to children ages 11 and under, accompanied by an adult. Registration is required. 
STEM Explorers Workshop
Monday, June 29, 6:00 pm
Join us each week for a fun, hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math Activity! This week we will learn about structures and build paper buildings. Led by teen girl scout, Sadhana. Open to children ages 5-12. Registration is required.

Summer Reading Program: Unearth A Story
The Mercer County Library System (MCLS) invites readers of all ages to dig into a summer of discovery with its 2026 Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story,” taking place from June 15 through August 8. This year’s theme encourages participants to explore hidden worlds, discover something new, and connect with stories that inspire curiosity and imagination. Learn more here.
