SocktoberIn recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, MCLS is teaming up with Younity and RISE: A Community Service Partnership to collect donations of new socks throughout October. Socks are in high demand during the fall and winter months. Stop by your local branch to donate and make a difference!

Branch NewsThe West Windsor Branch held its 2nd annual Vehicle Day on Saturday, September 12, and it was a great day! The weather was perfect, and almost 300 patrons stopped by to see the vehicles and enjoy crafts and activities. The Princeton Junction Volunteer Fire Company brought three vehicles — a chief’s truck, a brush truck, and a ladder truck. The Post Office brought three trucks of varying sizes, and the Police Department showcased two cars. New this year was the library van! Kids enjoyed learning how their books travel, date-stamping a bookmark, and even attempting to lift a bag of books on hold. Coming up in October, we have several Halloween-themed programs, with our biggest being our Boo Bash! Preschoolers are encouraged to come in costume on the morning of October 27 for a concert with Tim Hoh, followed by a trick-or-treat parade around the library!
