There will be no locked rooms and you may drop in between 11:00-1:00 or 5:00-7:00 to start your game. Most puzzlers will figure everything out within 60 minutes. This program is geared toward ages 8-12, all ages welcome. We will have alternative puzzles handy for younger siblings!

Nanowrimo is short for National Novel Writing Month and that month is...November! The idea is to write a novel in the month of November from beginning to end! It should just be a rough draft - no editing necessary! The edits can be done the rest of the year :).
A novel is 50,000 words.
A novella is 20,000-50,000 words.
During the month of November (and into December), youth can pick up a Nanowrimo sticker from the Post Falls Youth Services desk once they've completed their novel or novella. You could even write one as a family and share the sticker!
You can use the month of October for planning and prewriting so that on November 1st you can write the first sentence. Nanowrimo has a Young Writer's Program that you could use to encourage your young writers.
I hope to give away stickers to 30 Nanowrimo winners!
(Winning means you finished a 1st draft which is CERTAINLY something to celebrate!)
