Milk Chocolate Edition On July 28th we celebrate National Milk Chocolate Day. The day was declared a holiday by the National Confectioners Association. Chocolate is first seen used in the English language around the 1600s, but at first was only used to describe dark chocolate. The first usage of the term "milk chocolate" can be traced to a beverage brought to London from Jamaica in 1687. But! It was not until 1875 that the milk chocolate bar was invented by Swiss inventor, Daniel Peter who successfully combined cocoa and condensed milk. Yum!
