Young Adult Author Spotlight: Jason Reynolds - Is the author of Long Way Down, Look Both Ways: A Tale Told in Ten Blocks, All American Boys, The Boy in the Black Suit, and more.
- Has won multiple recognitions including the Walter Dean Meyers award, Newbery Honor, and Printz Honor.
- Was inspired by Queen Latifah's 1993 album Black Reign to write poetry at the age of nine.

The Sketchbook Project for Teens Available June 1st - August 31st For Teens going into 6th-12th grade in the Fall
The sketchbooks will be displayed at the Athol, Harrison, Hayden, Pinehurst, Post Falls, Rathdrum, and Spirit Lake Libraries. Sketchbooks can be checked out for 1 week for teens to add their artwork. Teens are also welcome to draw in them without checking them out if they are hanging out in the library (if available).

Teen Publishing In Person at the Post Falls Library Thursday, July 1st, 3:00-4:00 pm Grades 6th-12th Have you ever wanted to be a published author?! Teens, you will: Submit your pieces of writing or artwork, encourage your friends to do so too, and then go through the process of putting together a publication for print. Participants will put together a full publication that includes writing and artwork from teens across the Community Library Network. The publication will be printed, distributed to participants and throughout the community, and available to check out from the library’s collection. Register HERE to attend.

Dog Fashion Show Filming (By Appointment- In Person at all Libraries) July 26th-August 3rd All Ages Dogs (and owners) are invited to walk the red carpet runway and show off their pawsome canine attire!
