Giving thanks.
 
November brings a change of seasons and a time when people express their thanks in a variety of ways. At the library, we are thankful for you, our members. Thank you for attending our programs and supporting the library.
 
Fall brings a variety of hands-on and engaging programs for the whole family. Join us for Idaho Family Reading Week, November 4-10 and celebrate reading as a family. A complete calendar of events can be found on the Programs & Events tab on our website.
 
Please note we will be closed Monday, November 11, for the Veteran's  Day holiday, and Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
 
Also, all of our libraries have new hours. Visit our website for up-to-date information.
 
Our literacy theme this month focuses on Information Literacy.

Celebrate Idaho Family Reading Week
"Rev Up Your Reading" at your favorite local library. Idaho Family Reading Week reminds parents, grandparents, and all caregivers about the importance of reading with the children in their lives. 
 
"Reading together at home also inspires an early love of books, stimulates your child's imagination, and expands their knowledge of the world," said State Librarian Stephanie Bailey-White.
 
Stop by and discover everything your library has to offer from Full STEAM Ahead kits and Sensory storytime to a robust collection that meets the needs of your family and a variety of early
learning resources.

Sensory Storytime
 *This program is designed to support children with sensory processing challenges.*
Sensory storytime is an interactive approach to storytelling that supports children with sensory processing challenges. Sensory storytime includes visual aids, opportunities for sensory input experiences, and allows for freedom of movement.

Launch into Learning:
Stay & Play
Playing is learning! Play is a great way to help develop and reinforce early literacy skills. This inclusive come-and-go program is designed to give caregivers and their children time to explore together. Toys, board books, and hands-on activities available each week.

Dungeons & Dragons
D&D is a fun role-playing adventure game where players create characters and make decisions, as the group is guided through a "choose your own adventure" style story.
Join us to slay dragons, make friends, and step into the shoes of a fantasy character for the afternoon. Bring your own character or use one of our pre-made characters to get started!
Snacks will be provided.
