New Library Card Types for Kids As of July 1st, the Community Library Network hs been providing parents and caregivers two access options for patrons under the age of 18. The child limited card will provide access to the Children’s collection of CLN, with no access to e-books and streaming content including Libby and Freegal. The children’s collection is geared for ages 0-12. The minor open access card will provide full access to all collections within CLN and the Cooperative Information Network including e-books and streaming content including Libby and Freegal.

Opportunity for public comment at the Library’s Budget Hearing! Listen. Learn. Get the facts. Public comments regarding the FY2024 Budget will be taken by the Board of Trustees at the Library’s Budget Hearing, August 10th, Post Falls Library. Beginning at 5:30pm. Comments are limited to 3-minutes in length, all comments will be heard.

Opportunity for public comment at the Library’s Regular Board Meeting! 30 minutes of public comments will be taken by the Board of Trustees at the Library’s next Regular Board Meeting, August 17th, Hayden Library. Time is limited (comments are limited to the first 10 community members). You can sign up for a spot to comment beginning at 1:30pm. The meeting and public comments begin at 2:00PM.

Athol Daze - Summertime Sizzle Saturday, August 12th We are recruiting kids of all ages to walk in the parade with the Bookmobile and throw candy. Meet near Athol Elementary 8:00-8:30am, look for the Bookmobile, parade starts at 9:00am. We have a banner to carry and lots of candy to give away.

Happy Birthday Smokey Friday, August 4th, 10:00am Smokey Bear was born on Aug. 9, 1944, when the U.S. Forest Service identified the fictional bear as the symbol for their efforts to promote forest fire prevention. Come Sing Happy Birthday to Smokey! Farragut State Park, Brig Museum
