D.E.A.R. Day, April 12th D.E.A.R. stands for "Drop Everything and Read," a national celebration of reading designed to remind families to make reading a priority activity in their lives.

The Golden Book Award Goes to Grace!! Grace is a Circulation Specialist and our Adult Programmer. She does both jobs with competence and positive energy! She is always available to help our members and her co-workers. Grace takes initiative in her work and works hard to keep our library collection relevant and updated. We are very happy to have Grace on our library team. Thank you, Grace for being YOUβ£οΈ

Preschool Storytime Wednesdays 11:00 am Playtime, stories, music and so much fun!

Imagination Explorers (Ages 5-10) β Tuesdays, 3:30 pm. Afterschool time for kids to learn in a fun environment. 1st Tuesday of month Chess club, 3rd Tuesday LEGO club.

Kids Space Camp β Athol Community Center Monday, April 10th 2:30-4:30 pm Join us at the Athol Community Center for a Space Camp! This is a drop-in event, with many space stations to explore including rocket engineering, a virtual reality visit to the International Space Station, astronaut training, galaxy art, space science demonstrations, crafts and more! This is an all ages event with activities for the whole family, though most activities will appeal best to ages 5-10.

Teen Paint & Sip Wednesday, April 12th, 3:30-5:30 pm Teens (6th-12th grade) can paint a βGalaxy Waterfallβ following a video by stepbysteppainting.net. Must pre-register due to limited space!

Reading Buddies Thursday, April 27th 10:00 am Does your child need a reading buddy? Have a child who loves to read? Come to the Athol Library for special reading time. Beginner and struggling readers can read with more advanced readers. Our library βpetsβ and staff will also be available to listen/read with your child.

Earth Day at Farragut State Park Friday April 21st 4:00 pm Come to Tower Event at Farragut State Park for Earth Day fun with your local librarians and state rangers. We will do Earth Day crafts and a short hike (weather permitting). This is an all-ages event with activities for the whole family, though most activities will appeal best to ages 5-10.

Fit and Fall Proof Class! Fridays, 1:15 - 2:15pm Please join Tiffany as she instructs participants in learning simple exercises to increase strength, balance and endurance. We're never too old, or young, to work on strengthening our bodies!

DIY Cork Bottle Key Chains April 13th from 1 β 6:00 pm Come make a custom cork bottle key chain. All supplies provided, including paint, jewels, sequins, ribbon. etc. It will be held in the Athol Library Meeting room.

Plants that Attract Pollinators Thursday April 20th 5:00 β 6:00pm What should you plant in your yard to attract pollinators? And how should you care for your landscape to both attract pollinators and keep them in your yard safely. Sue Bockleman will share valuable tips on this fascinating subject.
