Independence Day Edition

Independence Day is a federal holiday that commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, when the thirteen colonies declared themselves no longer subject to British rule. Juneteenth National Independence Day is a federal holiday that commemorates the announcement of freedom for enslaved people in Texas, the final Confederate state with institutional slavery, on June 19, 1865. Wishing you a belated happy Juneteenth and a happy Independence Day!
 
All libraries will be closed Sunday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
