Crystal is our Super Sub Librarian! Crystal has saved the days at Athol many times and especially the last two months. If it weren’t for her, we could not have opened on a few occasions. Crystal is efficient, dependable, smart, knows her job very well, and is great to work with. We love Crystal and are so grateful she’s here to help. Thank you, Crystal for being YOU❣️

Happy Indigenous People Day Indigenous Peoples’ Day is celebrated on the second Monday of October, on October 11 this year, to honor the cultures and histories of the Native American people.

Jerry Barlow - Celtic Fingerstyle Guitar Saturday, October 16th, 6:00-7:00pm. Barlow’s music transports the listener across time and space on an imaginary journey to a rustic Irish fishing village or the misty Scottish Highlands or an enchanted English forest. Don't we all need right now! Space is limited. Calll to reserve a seat or sign up at the library. Social distancing and masks required, please.

Trunk or Treat !!! 🎃🎃🎃Sunday, October 31st, 5:00 PM, Athol Super 1 Foods Come in costume to see your favorite Super Librarians at Athol Super 1 Foods’ annual Trunk or Treat. We'll have treats and BOOKS !!

Brown Bag Book Sale!! All books in our lobby are on sale through October. Fit as many as you can in a brown paper bag and we'll ask for just $1.00. Proceeds go to the Friends of the Library which in turn comes back to us. We have a great selection and they're going fast.

This summer Gary Patterson, Health Education Specialist with the Panhandle Health District, approached us saying they had received a grant with the objective of "making playground improvements and updates using painted playground stencils to increase and improve physical activity opportunities". Our butterfly hopscotch game was completed by Gary and his group of awesome volunteers in early September. It waits patiently for kids of all ages to come play on it!

Knitting 101 - Coming Soon! Beginning this fall we will have a new virtual program called Knitting 101. Athol Librarian Debbie, will share her award winning Know-How in multiple shows that will include techniques such as: - How to choose yarn by weight
- Straight knitting needles and circular knitting needles
- Demonstrations
- How to cast on
- How to knit Garter Stitch
- How to knit Stockinette Stitch
- How to cast off
- How to knit a simple scarf will be the highlight!!
