Get social.

With a name like Community Library Network, you can believe community is at the heart of most of what we do.

In 2023 the US surgeon general warned us about the epidemic of loneliness occurring in the US.  Did you know that those who have poor or insufficient social connections have a 29% increased risk of heart disease, 32% increased risk of stroke, and 50% increased risk of developing dementia?

Libraries are a small part of the six foundational pillars the Surgeon General lays-out in their strategy to advance social connection. This is why our libraries host so many regular and reoccurring programs and so many programs focused on social activities.  Friendship, connection, and community are vitally important to a healthy and happy community and the institutions that promote connection and bring people together (like libraries!) are therefore fundamental.

We're excited to be partnering with the Equus Workforce Solutions to bring their expert career coaches to our libraries.  Rotating around all of our libraries on Wednesday afternoons for the next year you will be able to get free 1-on-1 help from an expert.

They can help:
  • work on your resume or cover letter,
  • navigate online applications and job searches,
  • practice or give advice for upcoming interviews,
  • offer advice on changing careers or leveling-up in the job you currently have,
  • connect you with local, state, and federal resources,
  • and so much more!

Together we're committed to helping you succeed!

Hayden is the first location they'll be visiting on October 9th from 2-5pm.  To find when they'll be at your library check here! or ask a librarian at your favorite location.
