Help us grow our library tree!
Look how much our library tree has grown this summer! Youth services librarian Shannon built this amazing cardboard tree, and it's grown from bare branches to a flowery haven as visitors to the children's area in the Main Library have added fruit, birds, hearts and art. Read under its branches, or add a poem, story, or artwork to the tree this month and see how much it can grow in August!

Mark your calendars for end-of-summer celebrations!
Join us for two summer's end celebrations on August 31! Seattle Hand Drummers will be hosting a drum circle from 5-6 p.m. at the Main Library. And from 6:30-7:30 p.m., enjoy traditional Mexican folk dancing from Herencias Mexicanas at the Evergreen Branch!

Three more free bike repair clinics this summer!
Visit the Evergreen Branch between 3 and 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month through October for free basic repairs to your bike, scooter, wheelchair, or mobility device! Repairs are provided by volunteers from Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop. The next clinic is this Tuesday, August 8.
