Simply Simpson
June 2014
From the Director
Signs of the summer season – school vacation, gardening, sunshine, relaxing at the pool, family vacations, reading at the beach, and many visits to Simpson Library! June kicks off the start of our very popular summer reading challenge for children, teens and adults. Last year, more than 2220 children and teens participated in our program, devoured many books, and attended special educational events at the library. Simpson Library buzzes with activity during the summer and we invite you to be part of the buzz. Stop in for titles on your “I Want to Read” lists, grab a few movies for family fun night, borrow some audio books for your long car trips to and from your vacation destination, and attend a variety of programs at the library for all ages.  We look forward to serving you and your family.

Upcoming Programs and Events
Storytimes at Simpson Library
Library storytime programs encourage children to develop a love of reading by presenting them with stories and activities in a fun, energetic environment. When kids see others excited about reading, it sets a positive example and encourages them to pick up books on their own.

**Storytimes will resume the week of June 9th.**

Rhymetime, Toddlertime, and Storytime are presented several times a week throughout the year. Family Storytime is presented once a week on Mondays at 6:30 pm. Visit our Storytime Events Calendar to view the current schedule.

If you value the importance of early literacy, we hope you will consider sponsoring a Storytime. You can sponsor for a week, a month, or even a year! For more information, and to get pricing information for each sponsorship level, download our Storytime Sponsor Brochure.

But as Miss Marple soon discovers, the whole village seems to have had a motive to kill Colonel Protheroe.
