First Readers Book Club - NEW!
New for Fall 2021!
Online registration begins on September 15th.
 
The First Readers Book Club is for kids who are reading early reader books. The First Readers Book Club features a new book club kit each month featuring a paperback copy of an early reader book, discussion questions, and a craft. If you are beginning to read and love books like Elephant and Piggie, Frog and Toad, Biscuit, and Fly Guy – this book club is for you!

Ty's Travels: Zip, Zoom! by Kelly Starling Lyons
 
Ty can't wait to ride his brand-new scooter at the park. Other kids zip and zoom by like race cars, but all Ty can do is wobble! Ty wants to give up, but a new friend helps Ty give it another try.
 
Available while supplies last. Books and supplies are provided by the Friends of the Library. 
 
C.A.R.E. (Children Are Reading Everywhere) Kits

C.A.R.E. is a monthly rotating book delivery program for childcare providers, preschools, or homeschooled children ages 0-5. It includes a monthly storytime visit, if desired. Childcare sites or residences within Benton County are eligible.

Starting School
Heading back to school can bring excitement and anxiety.

With all the changes and turmoil that the pandemic has brought us over the last year and a half, going back to school may be an old hat for some, while for others it is a brand new adventure. Reading and talking about school may help relieve some anxiety around returning to school, or remind kids about the fun parts of school.

What would it look like? What does it like to do? Where does it live? Who lives iwth it? Can you make a portrait of this monster? Provide paper, crayons, scissors, yarn, glue, and any other things you have around the house to make this silly portrait!
