Session 3: Race & Sports
Tuesday, April 6th @ 7PM
In this more light-hearted session we will deal with the question that arises when folks have accepted the established idea (anthropology and bio-genetics), that race (connecting one's features to their capabilities or any other internal traits) is not biologically real. The question is then: "Why do sports in America seem to indicate that race is indeed, biological?" The discussion will look at how economics and racial attitudes shape the way that Americans consume sports.
