Guidelines for Borrowing and Returning
Seven day loan period to a Borrower that is 18 or over, and is a New Paltz resident with an Elting Memorial Library Card in good standing.
If not available, borrowers may place a hold on the Mobile HotSpot via the MidHudson Library System catalogue.
Hotspot kits must be returned to library staff. Do NOT return kits via drop box.
Mobile HotSpots are non-renewable.
If the HotSpot is NOT returned by due date, borrower will be charged $5 per day for every late day.
$5 fine if returned in the drop box.
All components (HotSpot device & USB charger) must be present and in good condition upon return. HotSpot device contains a battery and a SIM card and should never be opened by borrower.
The device will be disabled if not returned within ten (10) days.
If the HotSpot is stolen or lost, you will be charged for the entire cost, which is a maximum of $99. The price to replace devices goes down over time for the library, so the patron would only be charged as much as T-Mobile charges the library.
