https://rosendalelibrary.org/dawn-of-everything-book-discussion/We learned so much from the Energy Decisions program that we held in January. The most important take-away for many was that it is a good idea to sign up for community solar to save money on energy bills and to help expand clean energy infrastructure.
The Rosendale Environmental Commission is asking that anyone who takes steps to reduce their carbon footprint such as installing a heat pump system, signing up for community solar, or purchasing an electric vehicle to please let them know. Rosendale is participating in a Clean Communities campaign where towns will receive grants based upon the number of people who switch to clean energy and heating. Please email: cleanenergy4townofrosendale@gmail.com so that the Town can receive an incentive grant. If you need help deciding on what is right for your home, you can contact Tom Konrad, an energy coach for New Yorker's for Clean Power. His services are free, he is selling nothing.
Take Your Child to the Library Day (TYCLD) is an international initiative that encourages families everywhere to take their children to their local library. It raises community awareness about the importance of the library in the life of a child and promotes library services and programs for children and families. TYCLD is held on the first Saturday in February, this year that is Saturday, February 3rd. To celebrate we will be offering a Valentine’s Day card making program with all the materials to make a loving card.
We are excited to present the results of our facilities survey. We will have a public presentation on Saturday, February 10. Please sign up so we make sure to have space for everyone.
