Our summer reading program is in full swing, and it’s not too late to join the fun. Our crafternoons have been a big hit with kids making slime, puffy paint, and marbled paper. The programs we have sponsored at the Rosendale Recreation Camp are very popular, including the West African Drum program by Amadou Diallo where kids learned drumming, songs, and heard stories from West Africa. Don't miss the finale puppet show on August 13 (we need kids to be part of the cast and adults to be audience members.) Please sign up on our website.
For adults, we have another slow jam coming up on Sunday August 1 at the library. This is a friendly, easy, string instrument jam, all are welcome. And we have a collage workshop on August 3rd that you can join virtually or in person at the library. Please sign up on the website.
We will have an informational public meeting on the library’s 2022 budget on August 18 at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to comment on the budget before the board meeting. The trustee election and budget vote will be on Thursday, September 2 from noon to 7 p.m.
Our HVAC system was broken for many weeks and now it is fixed. Come cool off.
The next Friends of Rosendale Library meeting is Sept. 11th at 10am. Link for the Friends calendar page can be found here: http:/friendsofrl.org/events/
