We are partnering with Redwing Blackbird Theater to offer a 3-part Mo Willems inspired puppet workshop. Mo Willems is the author of many popular children’s books including the Elephant and Piggy series, and the Caldecott-winning Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! We will read some stories and have fun making puppets of some of our favorite characters. Participants will visit the Redwing Blackbird theater and go behind the scenes during one session. Signing up in advance is highly recommended.

During the month of July, High Falls Food Co-op is spotlighting the Rosendale Library. Customers can round up support the library. We are so grateful to the Co-op and all the community members whose efforts and support make it possible.

To savor the summer we have a fabulous array of new books for every taste, age, and temperament, as well as some other cool things you can borrow. We now have trail maps of the Catskills and Shawangunks, park passes to let you into the Mohonk Preserve and the state parks for free, and binoculars for bird watching, all of which you can borrow with your library card. If you are going on vacation, you can borrow a mobile hot spot which will allow you to have free wifi wherever there is cell service.

Morning meditation and our weekly chess club will be on pause for the summer. We will resume these weekly programs in the fall.

Our new gazebo is a hit! We had a great turnout for our summer reading kickoff and look forward to all the Crafternoons and other activities we will be doing out there. (These are Rainbow Fish from our first Crafternoon.)
