May is mental health awareness month and we will offer some new programs to promote healthy exploration and creativity, growing new flowers on old branches. There will be a somatic experiencing program that can help you to identify and move stuck emotions through the body to make space something new. There is no requirement to share and no previous experience necessary.
We are also starting a creative community program series where we will engage in creative group and individual activities designed for self-exploration, community building and FUN! This series will happen on Monday nights, intermittently.
As we are digging into our gardens for a spring cleanup, consider borrowing the library’s Extractigator to remove invasive saplings, vines, and small shrubs. One patron used it to remove barberry because it allows for you to extract the plant without touching it, (barberry has sharp thorns!) You can borrow many “things” with your library card, such as binoculars for bird watching, park passes, and museum passes.
We are planning our summer reading program for folks of all ages. Save the date, June 19th 11 a.m. for our summer reading kickoff event. We will send out details soon.
