Curbside Services Available at all Three Branches!
As you likely heard last week, public libraries are among the long list of facilities that are required to close as part of the new mandatory province-wide health restrictions. Therefore, until further notice, all Red Deer Public Library branches are closed to the public.

BUT WAIT! There is some good news... We were thrilled to be given permission to offer contactless curbside pickup service, which means that you can place holds on library materials online or by phone for pickup at the branch of your choice. Full details, including how to place holds, hours of service, and other information, can be found at www.rdpl.org/covid19.

With a quieter holiday season on the horizon, we’d like to offer a few suggestions on how to keep you and your loved ones busy, with reading materials (print and digital), movies, puzzles, and a variety of ‘Kits to Go’ available to borrow or keep (depending on the kit), all available from your library via curbside pickup! Read on for details...

Our Adult Puzzles are now holdable in our catalogue! What better way to spend those snowy days than working on a puzzle?! Place a hold for pickup at the branch of your choice.
We have a variety of activity kits for you to take home and enjoy!
Some of our kits can be placed on hold to borrow with your library card any time, some can be picked up (while supplies last) to keep, and some are tied to a particular program. Visit www.rdpl.org/programs/KitsToGo for details, and keep coming back to see which new Kits to Go we have to offer!
Pro tip: some of our activity boxes (Family Fun Storytime kits, Spice It Up boxes, and Craft Take Out boxes) are made available at the start of each month, so the sooner you can pop by to pick one up, the better the chance you'll have of getting one! Feel free to call ahead to confirm availability before making the trip.
