MPHPL Winter Reading Challenge Cards Are Now Available

The MPHPL Winter Reading Challenge begins Tuesday, January 2!
  • Reading challenge cards are available at any MPHPL service desk, or you can download the card by visiting our website.
  • All ages can participate.
  • Adults must be MPHPL cardholders.
  • Complete the five challenge squares marked with a snowflake and receive a small prize.
  • Once all challenges are met, return your card by Thursday, February 29 to any MPHPL location and receive a new book from a list of pre-selected titles.
  • When you turn in your completed card, you are automatically entered in our special prize drawing!
  • Limit one reading challenge card per person.
  • The first day for prize redemption is Monday, January 8.

Mishawaka Library Lighting Upgrades Update

Beginning Tuesday, January 2 crews will start to replace lights in the
fiction area of the downtown Mishawaka Library.
  • Fiction materials at the Mishawaka Library will be temporarily unavailable during LED energy-efficient lighting upgrades.
  • Work in the lower level is wrapping up and non-fiction materials will soon be available for checkout.

MPHPL Offers a Books by Mail Service for Those Who Qualify

Books by Mail is a no-cost service for homebound patrons who cannot visit the
library due to disability or lack of transportation.
  • Eligible residents may request up to four items (books, magazines, audiobooks) at a time.
  • Items are loaned for six weeks.
  • Shipping is free through the United States Postal Service.
