Hello, and Happy Friday!

Have you had a chance to come to the library and see Landon Marchant's art exhibition, Begin Anywhere? Marchant invites you to explore the hidden narrative of these paintings, resulting in a unique and contemplative experience. The exhibition has just entered its last week here at the Milne, so come and enjoy it while you can!

Open Mic Poetry Night

The Milne Public Library's Open Mic Poetry Night makes a return!

Once again we welcome all aspiring poets and appreciators of poetry to join us for an evening of lyrical delight.  You can read your own poem, read a favorite poem, or simply be a part of the audience.

Local poet Chris Hantman will be returning to emcee the evening, and we will have a get-together following the event. All attendees are invited!

Join us on Wednesday, April 10th from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Some guidelines:  To sign up for a slot, please arrive between 5:15 and 5:30.  Participants must be 12 or older to read a poem.  The language and theme of all poems must be family-friendly - please do not use inappropriate or vulgar language.  Audience members are expected to be respectful and supportive of all poets. :)

Housatonic River Cleanup

Lenox Library has created a digital information center for the Rest of River Cleanup project on the Housatonic River,

which was recently highlighted in The Berkshire Eagle.

The cleanup project has been a public concern in the Berkshires for decades, and

the Lenox Library aims to fulfil the role of libraries as a trusted source of information on the subject. Print resources about the river cleanup have long been available, but the digital compilation of resources about this project is new and seeks to reach more members of the public.

Visit the link below for a history of the project, as well as information on what is still to come.
