We want to hear from you! Join the library for a discussion about the need for a private space in the library. This would be a valuable asset to our community and especially to people with disabilities. All community members should plan to attend this meeting. Everyone will be asked to give feedback regarding the need for a private space and how to best plan for this.

This is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and library workers and to promote library use and support. From free access to books and online resources for families to library business centers that help support entrepreneurship and retraining, libraries offer opportunity to all.
To celebrate National Library Week, we will be holding a coloring contest for all ages! Stop by the library to get your coloring sheet, take part in a scavenger hunt and get a sweet treat! |

You won't want to miss out on the fun! The Friends of the Ely Public Library will be hosting another BINGO fundraiser at the Ely Legion! $1/3 cards, doors open at 6:30pm, and drinks and concessions will be sold to support the Ely Legion. This is the last Bingo of the season. |

City Wide Garage Sales

The Friends of EPL is sponsoring again the City Wide Garage Sale Day!
Everyone who has a garage sale is encouraged to register. Registration only costs $5.00 and forms are available at the library and on the library website.
Please complete your form and turn it into the library by 7pm Wednesday, May 1 to be on the maps. Registered garage sales receive a poster identifying them as a registered sale supporting the Friends of the Library.

Thanks to a grant from New Leader Manufacturing, we were able to buy and fill our new STEAM Maker Cart! Patrons will be able to use these items in our meeting room.

Thanks to a donation from Feed Iowa First we have added 200 packets of vegetable and native flower seeds to our seed library. |

We accept seeds year round. If you are a seed saver, or just have extras, consider donating to our library. We have materials to repackage and label seeds. |
