Dr. Edward Rowan will discuss the life of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, including Doyle's introduction to deductive reasoning, exploration of his literature, and more fun facts about our favorite author and detective. We will also learn about William Gillette, who performed Sherlock Holmes on stage 1,300 times and who coined the phrase "elementary, my dear Watson." Q & A to follow the presentation. |
