This skill-building workshop is for the beginner or experienced djembe drummer. Regular attendance is recommended to build personal skill level and to progress with the group. Mature teens are welcome to join us for this summer-long program. We have a supply of drums and percussion instruments available to use for the program. Bring your own lawn chair. This program will be outdoors but will be moved indoors if weather is not favourable. Register here.

Let’s celebrate summer with a fun-filled evening of live music. Join us with local music legend Dylan Lock known for his versatile voice who sings a wide variety of crowd-pleasing favourites. Last summer Dylan had folks up dancing in the grass! It will be an evening to remember for the whole family. Bring your own lawn chair to our library garden and enjoy some great tunes of summer as the sun sets. Pre-registration is suggested. New to the three dimensional world of virtual reality? Join us for the opportunity for an immersive and interactive experience to learn about the undersea fight against climate change to save the coral reefs of the Pacific island nation of Palau and then have the opportunity to experience life-like encounters with the calming creatures of the sea such as majestic whales, sea turtles and schools of tropical fish. Ability to swim not required! In fact, you don't even need to get wet. All participants will have the opportunity to experience the wonders of the deep blue sea much like that of a deep sea diver. Register for one of two time slots available. Max. 6 registrants/session.

There will be no meeting in July. Have you or a family member been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes? Join the conversations online via Zoom led by a registered dietitian from the South Georgian Bay Community Health Centre to learn how to stay well with diabetes. The group is usually held on the last Monday of each month to discuss different topics of interest, answer any questions you may have and to provide an opportunity to connect with other people in the community who share similar experiences.
