What would you like to accomplish in Calhoun County over the next year?
I would like to grow the Calhoun County Recreation Department in as many ways as possible whether that is through athletics, special events and/or programs. We want to see everyone in Calhoun County involved.
What upcoming programs are you most excited about?
We are excited about our upcoming basketball program as we are taking registrations for it at this time. We are also excited about continuing our tumbling program located at John Ford.

Garden Club Council Christmas Contest Vote for your favorite holiday decorations. Winners will be chosen in both the residential and business category. Votes can be placed in an envelope labeled “Christmas Decoration Contest" and dropped off in a box located behind Town Hall, sent by email to stmatthewsgardencouncil@gmail.com, or sent online here: https://forms.gle/9LLeCLLqHLJ2cwAS9 - Be sure to include the address of your choice when you vote. Each month, we will feature a dog that is currently available for adoption at the Calhoun County Animal Shelter.

Calhoun Gives is a local event that supports Central Carolina Community Foundation's Midlands Gives Day.
Midlands Gives Day is on Tuesday, May 3, 2023.
Registration in Calhoun Gives is free.

Library staff can help you through the registration process for Midlands Gives as well as help you write a compelling profile for your organization page on the Midlands Gives site. Participants can have their profiles listed on the Calhoun Connects website, in the newsletters, and on Calhoun Connects social media channels.
Calhoun Gives Campaign Planning & Work Sessions

Thurs, Jan 12 & 19 - 5:30 PM
The sessions will focus on identifying donors and creating successful, tailored requests for financial support. Participants will also create visual resources that showcase the work the organization does in serving Calhoun County and create custom thank you cards to send to organizations and individuals that make gifts.
