Smoke 'Em BBQ Joint will be located at 1713 Bridge Street in St Matthews. The opening date has not been set yet, but we'll keep you posted.

This month's spotlight is on Calhoun County Council on Aging (CCCOA).
|  | CCCOA Executive Director, Jill Truesdale | Q&A with Jill:
What are you most excited about at CCCOA?
"Calhoun County Council on Aging is looking forward to growing more and providing engaging activities for the senior population in our county. We have monthly activities and yearly events we are hoping to continue like our Winter Ball."
What upcoming events are you looking forward to?
"The upcoming activity we are most looking forward to is our Spring trip to Alabama Theatre in North Myrtle Beach to see the new show ICONIC. In the Fall we are planning for our Senior Games, trip to the State Fair, and all the fun around the holiday season."
|  | CCCOA Staff | Calhoun County Council on Aging (CCCOA) provides services to promote the well-being of aging persons residing in Calhoun County. CCCOA's purpose is to help maintain their independence, function to the best of their ability, and to inform them of resources, activities and opportunities available in the community.
Just look at all of the fun upcoming February events at CCCOA! Anyone aged 60 and over is encouraged to participate.

Four Holes Fishing For Friends Tournament We are gearing up for our 18th Fishing for Friends Banquet, benefiting local families with special needs children. Every year we look for unique items from local businesses and persons to add to our live auction, silent auction and our raffles. No amount of money or service is too small. SC State University Community Health Worker Training Program SC State University has established a Community Health Worker (CHW) Training Program to recruit, train, and enable the next generation of minority Community Health Workers (CHWs) to address health disparity and improve health equity in rural SC. Boards and commissions serve mostly in an advisory capacity to various County departments but some also hear appeals, provide expertise, advocate, and advise County Council.
