Little Sprouts Baby Lapsit On Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. through October 17, Leach Library will offer a story time program for babies 0-18 months old. This introduction to story time is a great opportunity for your littlest sprouts to learn to interact with you and others in a new environment, as well as to begin to follow along with songs, dances, and finger movements.

Wiggle Worms On Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. through October 17, toddlers ages 2-3 years old and their caregivers are invited to the Leach Library for story time with songs, rhymes, books, and more.

Bookworms On Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. through October 18, Leach Library will offer story time for preschoolers ages 3-5 years old. Bookworms will focus on preschoolers learning more about words, numbers, and concepts through stories, songs, rhymes, and games. The program will also include a simple craft to promote developing fine motor skills.

Duplo Budding Builders Join the Leach Library staff on Thursday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m. for a meeting of Duplo Budding Builders. Participants will create using larger Duplo blocks. This program is designed for younger Lego enthusiasts ages 0-5. Registration begins on Thursday, October 5.

Building Buddies Join the Leach Library staff on Thursday, October 12 at 4:30 p.m. for a Lego program designed for ages 6 and up. Each month, there will be a fun theme and time to create using the library’s Legos. Registration begins on October 5.

Solar Eclipse Live Stream Viewing The Leach Library will host a live stream viewing of the annular solar eclipse in the library’s meeting room from 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 14. Patrons may drop in any time during the program to watch coverage of the eclipse. During the program, a variety of activities and crafts will be available to complete at the library or take home. Attendees will receive a free pair of solar eclipse glasses while supplies last. Registration is not required for this program.

Craft Time On Monday, October 16 at 4:30 p.m., kid crafters are invited to the Leach Library to create tissue paper apples in the meeting room. Crafts will be provided, and staff will be available to offer assistance. Registration begins on October 10.

Fall Cupcake Decorating Celebrate fall by decorating a special cupcake on Wednesday, October 18 at 4:30 p.m. at Leach Library! Cupcakes, frosting, and candy will be provided, and children are invited to create a fun cupcake. Please let us know if anyone in your group has allergies at the time of registration. Registration begins October 11.

Dementor Craft Teens and tweens are invited to a Harry Potter-inspired craft on Tuesday, October 3 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Leach Library Meeting Room. Participants will create their own hanging Dementor lanterns using a variety of craft supplies. Registration is required and began on Tuesday, September 26.

Dungeons & Dragons Calling all teen and tween adventurers! Join the Dragoneers Club for a standalone quest on Monday, October 23 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the Leach Library Meeting Room. All experience levels welcome! Registration is required and begins on Monday, October 16.

Potions Class Teens and tweens are invited to a Harry Potter-inspired potion bottle sensory craft on Tuesday, October 17 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Leach Library Meeting Room. Participants will use an assortment of potion-themed supplies to create sensory bottles to take home. Registration is required and begins on Tuesday, October 10.

Space Rangers Get ready to blast off into a new adventure on Thursday, October 19 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Leach Library Meeting Room. During this one-hour space-themed program, students ages 9-14 will explore different space science topics through hands-on activities and games. Registration is required and begins on Thursday, October 12.

Block by Block Coding Club On Wednesday, October 25 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., students in grades 4-8 will be able to explore a variety of coding exercises and programs including using screen-free coding robots, independent online coding, and other guided activities online. Registration is required and begins on Wednesday, October 18.

Strange Happenings Teens and tweens are invited to a Stranger Things-inspired Halloween party on Tuesday, October 31 from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. in the Leach Library Meeting Room. Participants will enjoy some treats and activities inspired by Hawkins and the Upside Down. Registration is required and begins on Tuesday, October 24.
