Encaustic Art with John Webster On Wednesday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m., New Hampshire artist John Webster will provide a demonstration of encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting. Participants can expect to learn about and observe this fascinating art form at work. John’s award-winning work has been shown throughout New England. Places of display include the Massachusetts State House and Stoneham Art Gallery, among many others. Registration is required and opens on Wednesday, July 12th. |

Explorers Workshop: On the Map Teens and tweens are invited to explore orienteering on Saturday, July 8 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Leach Library Meeting Room and on the Leach Library lawn, weather permitting. During this supersized workshop, participants will learn all about reading maps, using compasses, and other ways to navigate. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to use sunoculars and a sun spotter. Registration is required and begins on Saturday, July 1.

Mischief Managed Teens and tweens are invited to attend the travelling Muggle Magic Exhibit, a Harry-Potter-inspired escape room experience on Tuesday, July 11 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Leach Library Meeting Room. Be ready to bewitch your mind and ensnare your senses. Registration is required and begins on Wednesday, July 5.

Maker Mondays Through August 7, Maker Workshops will be offered weekly on Mondays from 12:00 – 2:00p.m. at the Leach Library. Teens and tweens are invited to stop by the Young Adult area during the weekly workshop to explore their imagination with arts, crafts, coding, building, and more! No registration required.

Summer Book Club Teens and tweens are invited to come and discuss Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes on Tuesday, July 18 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Leach Library Meeting Room. Registration is required and began on June 6. Space is limited. Please visit the main desk to register and check out a copy of the book.

Game Night at the Library Bring it on during this 90-minute program. Teens and tweens will explore a variety of games on Tuesday, July 25 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Leach Library Meeting Room. Challenge your friends on a PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch. Try a ping-pong game with Pong 2 Go or a tabletop air hockey game. For the more traditional gamers, a variety of board games and card games will also be on hand to play. A special thanks goes to the Exeter Public Library and their NH Video Game Library for loaning the consoles! |
