Library News
 The Library Giving Tree will support the North Polk Comet Cupboard Paper Pantry by collecting non-food donations. Please drop donations off at the library by December 16. Suggestions include: Diapers, Baby Wipes, Baby Ointments, Toilet Paper, Facial Tissue, Feminine Hygiene Products, Full-Size Toiletries (Shampoo, Conditioner, Bath Soap,  Hand Soap, Body Lotion, Toothpaste, Deodorant), Toothbrushes, First Aid Supplies, Shaving Supplies, Dish Detergent, Laundry Supplies, Paper Towels, Paper Plates/Cups, Cleaning Supplies.
 
IMPORTANT: Beginning January 3, library patrons will be required to present their library card OR a photo idea when borrowing library materials.

Come shimmy and shake with your child! Dance and sing while building pre-reading skills with rhythm and rhyme. No registration required.
Teen DIY: Holiday Ornaments
Monday, December 12, 4:00 p.m.
Show off your crafting skills with DIY holiday ornaments. We provide all of the supplies for creating your own unique ornament. Register Online.
K-2 Book Club
Tuesday, December 13, 4:00 p.m.
Join Ms. Allyson for the K-2 Book Club where we will discuss the book and play some games. Snacks provided.
Messy Munchkins
Thursday, December 15, 10:00
Self-directed sensory play activities will be provided. Come prepared to get messy! Activities may include water, shaving cream, paint, sand, rice...the list is endless!
Comets Kids Club: Hot Chocolate Bar

Food & fun, what beats that!? Join us for a snack and craft. This month we'll have a Hot Chocolate Bar!!!

Sip on a tasty, healthy, homemade soup while learning about easy slow cooker meals that encourage healthy eating on a budget. *17 and older. Online option available upon request. Registration is required by November 23.
Crafternoon: Easy Ornaments

Puzzles
The Polk City Community Library has a variety of jigsaw puzzles you can borrow. No library card required and no due dates! Just let us know which one you are borrowing and we will mark it as "Checked Out". Great way to beat the winter blues!
