Family Drop-In: Prep for the Solar Eclipse (Children under 8 must be supervised) Get ready for the total solar eclipse this month by popping into this program! This is a come and go event. At this program, you will circulate through various STEM, craft, and activity stations that will teach you about the solar eclipse. You'll leave more informed about the total solar eclipse that happens on April 8th. Each family will receive a free pair of solar eclipse eye-glasses, while supplies last.

Teens Paint: Solar Eclipse (6th-12th grade) Join the library in creating a cosmic creation in time for April 8th's total solar eclipse! Follow along as we guide you to create your own rendition of the upcoming eclipse on a canvas, and learn more about the eclipse. At the end of the program, attendees will receive a complimentary pair of eclipse glasses.

Adult Speaker Series: Off the Map- Stories of Abandoned and Disappearing Towns Around Iowa Join Iowa Humanities Speaker, Rosa Snyder, as she presents on abandoned towns from Iowa's pioneer and railroad era. Each community has its own unique story. Take a tour around Iowa exploring a sampling of these idiosyncratic communities in photographs and stories.
