CSLP Updates

2025 CSLP Program Manual

The 2025 Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) Manual is available to libraries, and the access code has been sent to each library director.  If you have not received the code, please ask your director or send me an email susan.laparo@lva.virginia.gov.  


Ordering of CSLP materials will begin next week.  Look for an email with the ordering instructions.

Grants and Opportunities

Penguin Random House Young Readers Group Award (November 15)
Calling all children’s librarians who have never attended the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference!  This is your chance to get a $1200 stipend to help with your travel and fees to the  upcoming conference June 26-30, 2025 in historic Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  This award is made possible by an annual gift from Penguin Young Readers Group and Random House Children’s Books.  More information and the application form can be found here.  


Children's Book Week (November 4-10)

Children’s Book Week is a national week-long event that celebrates books for young readers. 2024 is the 105th anniversary of this beloved program, and this year’s event slogan is No Rules. Just Read.
