Non Fiction Addiction: Kaffir Boy in America by Mark Mathabane

Join us for a discussion of "Kaffir Boy in America" by Mark Mathabane. "Kaffir Boy in America" is the sequel to "Kaffir Boy", which vividly detailed the horrors of growing up black in a society premised on radical racial discrimination. In the sequel, the author describes both his trials and successes in coping with and ultimately taking advantage of American mobility. This program is open to all adults.

Join us for our chair yoga class where we focus on moving, breathing, building strength & flexibility, and end with relaxation! Art at the Library: Watercolors

Come join us for a relaxing session of watercolor painting at the library. We will be practicing watercolors with an exercise following a brief instruction on the basics of painting with watercolors. Research on chocolate and its possible health benefits have been studied worldwide for many years with the focus on flavonoids, a polyphenol found in cocoa and other plant foods. Yes! Caring Connections of New Jersey: What You Need to Know in The Second Half of Life

Explore your interest in art with friends. Participants will have time, space, and materials to create. This monthly club will be led by a Teen Advisory Board member and is meant to allow teens to explore all things ART! Come check it out and have fun while exploring favorite artistic mediums and hanging out with like-minded friends .Meetings include discussions, art challenges, and time for participants to work on individual projects, collaborate with fellow members, or simply hang out while incubating their creative genius. This month we're focusing on watercolor.

Let's Bake Together: Chocolate Dump Cake (Grades K-5)

Let's celebrate February like the Anglo-Saxons did! They called this month Sol-monath-meaning "cake month" or "the month of cakes"-and shared them with the gods. Yum! At this hands-on, family-friendly program, we'll read a cake story, then "dump" into our pans all the ingredients needed to make a decadent chocolate cake. You'll take it home to bake-the only thing you'll need to add is the milk! Advanced registration is required. Please register children only, not caregivers. Open to Heggan cardholders only.
