Meet the Poets: Authors Faleeha Hassan and Kay Peters

Join Faleeha and Kay for a discussion of their poetry. If you would like to, you can share a poem you wrote, or one that moves you.
Kay Peters is a retired Oncology Clinical Registered Nurse Specialist who now volunteers as a Parish Nurse. Her Poems have appeared in Philadelphia Poets, US 1 Worksheets, Schuylkill Valley Journal, Philadelphia Stories and Mad Poets Review.
Faleeha Hassan is a poet, playwright, writer, teacher, and editor who earned her master's degree in Arabic literature and has published 25 books, including War and Me: A Memoir. A nominee for both the Pulitzer and Pushcart Prizes, she is the first woman to write poetry for children in Iraq. Her poems have been translated into 20 languages. She has received numerous awards throughout he Middle East.

Card Club: Learn Bridge With Craig

Join Craig in our meeting room for instruction, and live play of the card game Bridge. Bridge is enjoyed by tens of millions of people throughout the world-more so than any other card game. In social circles it is considered the card game. Whether you play casually among friends or seriously in clubs and tournaments, you will find it to be fascinating, challenging and enjoyable. We will start with a 20 minute Q&A session, then follow up with assisted play to the end of the program. Craig will be available to assist with questions such as, "What do I bid?", "What do I Play?" or "I am so confused!" questions. This program is open to all adults. Please bring a standard 52 deck of cards (bridge or poker size), a piece of paper and a pencil.

Take A Seat: Chair Yoga With Dana

Join us for our chair yoga class where we focus on moving, breathing, building strength & flexibility, and end with relaxation! Join us for an exciting presentation by the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey about New Jersey's Fish Hawk: The Amazing Osprey. Did you know that in 1974 only 50 Osprey nests were left in New Jersey? Today, Ospreys are a common sight along the New Jersey shore during the summer. Learn about the amazing life history of ospreys, current monitoring techniques, and their amazing comeback. Ben Worst, Senior Wildlife Biologist with Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey will share his experience working to manage this amazing species over the past 15+ years. This program is open to all adults.

This monthly club will be led by a Teen Advisory Board member and is meant to allow teens to explore all things ART! Meetings include discussions, art challenges, and time for participants to work on individual projects, collaborate with fellow members, or simply hang out while incubating their creative genius.
