Summer Reading Kicks Off May 31
Rodman Public Library invites patrons of all ages to dive into the Oceans of Possibilities summer reading program. The program, which will run through July 30, will kick off on Tuesday, May 31 when a section of Rodman Public Library -- the auditorium, the gallery and the children's programming room -- will be transformed into a nine-hole, ocean-themed mini-golf course for one day.

Summer Art Experience Get ready for the 2022 Summer Art Experience with Rodman Public Library. Open to children ages 6-13, kids can choose either a virtual or in-person experience.

Kids Book Club Meets May 18
Rodman Public Library invites children, ages 8-12, to join the Kids Book Club, which meets on the third Wednesday of each month. The Best Friend Battle by Lindsay Eyre is the selected title for the May 18 meeting. Kids Book Club meetings include a brief discussion of the book, a fun activity and a snack. Becky Baddeley
Becky Baddeley is a circulation assistant at The Branch who is celebrating her sixth year at RPL this month. Becky loves helping patrons find new reads, and designing book displays and bulletin boards, but her favorite part of her job is storytime.

Children can stop by the Branch to pick up a hatching bird craft and make project while supplies last during May. All supplies for the craft are included as well as step-by-step instructions, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library.

Kids Gaming every first Wednesday Kids Gaming is held on the first Wednesday of each month in the Main Library Auditorium. From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., children, ages 8-12, are treated to open play of video games, Minecraft, etc. on devices provided by the library. The next session is Wednesday, May 4. Kids Crafting to Feature Sea Life Scuptures Children, ages 7-12, are invited to the Main Library at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 to create sea life sculptures using salt dough. Kids Crafting programs are held monthly and all materials are provided by the Friends of Rodman Library. Space is limited and registration is required. Call 330-821-2665, ext. 223 for information.
