Summer Reading Continues Through July 30 Children have until July 30 to complete their reading goals and challenges/questions in Rodman Public Library's Oceans of Possibilities summer reading program to earn entries into a raffle for one of 10 different prizes.

What You Need To Know About the Kids Book Club Kids, ages 8 to 12, who like to read will love the Kids Book Club. Led by Stacy Digianantonio, the club meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 4:15 to 5:00 p.m. at the Main Library and each meeting includes a brief discussion of that month's book, a fun activity, and a snack. Joining the Kids Book Club doesn't mean that you have to read each month's selection. Children are free to pick and choose which books they read and which meetings they attend. The Terrible Two is July's Title Rodman Public Library invites children,

Magic & Malarkey coming to RPL Husband and wife team Jason and Stacy Alan will bring their Magic and Malarkey show to the Rodman Main Auditorium at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11. The Alans will transport the audience into their crazy world with some mind-blowing magic, hilarious props and tons of audience interaction. Registration is required to attend the program. Book Fest Packed Full of Fun How much fun can you pack into one half hour?
Visit Rodman Public Library from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. for Book Fest Thursday, July 7 and Thursday, July 14 and find out. The program is intended for kids of all ages. On July 7, the Goldfish Swim School will provide a water safety program. On July 14, the Greater Cleveland Aquarium will provide a virtual program. No registration is required. Be a Marine Biologist at The Branch This Summer Children attending Storytime at the Rodman Branch Library go on an adventure each week as marine biologists. Running through Wednesday, July 27 a new sea creature is featured each week in two identical storytime sessions -- one at 10:30 a.m. and another at 11:30 a.m. each Wednesday. The 45-minute sessions will include songs, stories and a different activity each week. Each storytime concludes with a short video highlighting the sea animal of the day.

Tuesday is Play Day at Rodman Library Tuesdays during July is playtime for Rodman Public Library's littlest patrons. Running through July 26, a play group is offered from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays inside the Rodman Main Auditorium. Recommended for children, age birth through 5 years, the group gives parents and caregivers the opportunity to socialize with others.

Play Family BINGO at RPL July 25 Kids of all ages and their adult caregivers are invited to play Family BINGO from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 25 inside Rodman Public Library's Main Auditorium. The event is free and prizes will be given out, but space is limited and registration is required.

Kids Gaming Kids Gaming is held on the first Wednesday of each month at Rodman Public Library in the Main Library Auditorium. From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., children, ages 8-12, are treated to open play of video games, Minecraft, etc. on devices provided by the library. The next session is Wednesday, July 6. Uncle Sam Windsock is Branch Take and Make in July Starting Friday, July 1, children can stop by the Rodman Branch Library to pick up an "Avo-Kiddo" craft and make project. All supplies for the craft are included as well as step-by-step instructions, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library. Supplies are limited and will be given out at a first come, first served basis. For more information, call 330-821-1313.

Send Us Photos of Summer Art Experience Projects Children taking part in Rodman Public Library’s Virtual Summer Art Experience, which includes four lessons taught by local instructors on our YouTube page are encouraged to take photos of their completed projects and send them to us via email at to take part in our Virtual Art Gala, which will be held on our Facebook page starting Saturday, July 30.

Visit Us at the Famers Market, Other Stops Look for the Bookmobile as it makes its weekly stops around the Alliance area, including the Alliance Farmers' Market every Saturday during July where it will have take and make crafts for kids (while supplies last) and other fun activities. Of course, patrons with library cards can check out materials or pick up holds from the 34-foot library on wheels during any of its stops. And those in need of a library card can get one from the Bookmobile. On July 22, the Bookmobile will visit Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. for "Literacy in the Gardens." The program will include storybook trails, forest reading, giant Scrabble, illustrating, a poem tree, a silly story, and more. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 108.
