Friends of RPL to hold silent auction, used book sale April 22-23
The Friends of Rodman Public Library will host a silent auction and used book sale on Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23. The items up for auction will be surplus furniture and equipment.

Learn about the life of Ulysses S. Grant Ulysses S. Grant is a colorful figure in United States history and is still honored today with his portrait gracing the $50 bill. The 200th anniversary of Grant's birth will be marked this month and Rodman Public Library patrons will have the opportunity to learn all about the life when Dave Puterbaugh, will discuss Grant's life at 7:00 p.m. on April 11.

Books and CoffeeRodman Public Library's Books and Coffee Book Club meets every second Monday of the month at the Rodman Branch Library. Led by Charlene Duro, the next book club meeting will be on Monday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. when the selected title will be The Doctors Blackwell: How Two Pioneering Sisters Brought Medicine to Women and Women to Medicine by Janice P. True Crime JunkiesThe True Crime Junkies, a book discussion group led by reference librarian Ashley Mock, meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Main Library. The selection for the April 19 meeting is American Predator: The Hunt for the Most Meticulous Serial Killer of the 21st Century by Maureen Callahan. All Welcome at Animal Crossing Cafe
The Animal Crossing Cafe will be open inside Rodman Auditorium from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9. Patrons of all ages are invited to bring in their Nintendo Switch and Animal Crossing game and socialize with others who play the game while enjoying refreshments provided by the library. To make best use of their time, patrons are encouraged to have their game updated. While hanging out, those attending can visit Rodman Rodman Public Library's island as well as others. DIY Herb Pot is Maker Monday Project
Maker Monday crafters will create a DIY herb pot when they meet Monday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. in Rodman Public Library's Main Auditorium. Led by Nicole Brown, Maker Monday is an in-person craft program for adults that is held monthly on select Mondays. All materials are provided free of charge, thanks to Friends of Rodman Library, but space is limited and registration is required for each session. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 107.

Alliance Vinyl Club Meets April 27 If you collect vinyl records and like listening to them with others, then you need to join the Alliance Vinyl Club on Wednesday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium at Rodman Public Library. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to spin their favorite records. Due to time limitations, only a few selections per person will be played. A turntable will be provided, but we ask that you handle your personal records and assume any liability for normal wear and scratches. Alliance Vinyl Club, which meets every fourth Wednesday of the month, provides the opportunity to listen to music, talk and hang out. No registration is required. Tech Time Thursday Rodman Public Library offers
Tech Time Thursday at the Main Library from 11 a.m. to noon each Thursday. During Tech Time Thursday, a librarian is on hand at the Information Center to answer basic questions about your computer or electronic devices, such as iPhones and Android devices, laptops and tablets. Knit Wits The Knit Wits,
