All Welcome at Animal Crosing Cafe
The Animal Crossing Cafe will be open inside Rodman Auditorium from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9. Patrons of all ages are invited to bring in their Nintendo Switch and Animal Crossing game and socialize with others who play the game while enjoying refreshments provided by the library. To make best use of their time, patrons are encouraged to have their game updated. While hanging out, those attending Animal Crossing Cafe can visit Rodman Public Library's island as well as others. Meet Cyndi Shutt, one of the friendly librarians at Rodman Public Library who specializes in children's programming. Cyndi has been at RPL since September 2021, but has been in public libraries for 19 years.

Branch Take and Make
Starting Friday, April 1, children can stop by the Rodman Branch Library to pick up a bunny mask take and make project. All supplies for the craft are included as well as step-by-step instructions, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library. Kids Book Club Meets April 20 Rodman Public Library invites children, ages 8-12, to join the Kids Book Club, which meets at 4:15 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. The Wild Robot by Peter Browns is the selected title for the April 20 meeting. Kids Book Club meetings include a brief discussion of the book, a fun activity and a snack. Kids Gaming Kids Gaming is held on the first Wednesday of each month at Rodman Public Library in the Main Library Auditorium. From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., children, ages 8-12, are treated to open play of video games, Minecraft, etc. on devices provided by the library. The next session is Wednesday, April 6. Kids Crafting All children, ages 7-12, are invited to Rodman Public Library at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 to make a paper shamrock wreath. Kids Crafting programs are held monthly and all materials are provided by the Friends of Rodman Library. Space is limited and registration is required.

Wee Read Wee Read sessions will be held the first two weeks of April before taking a break until September. Wee Read, intended for ages birth through two years, will be held on Mondays (April 4 and April 11) at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesdays (April 6 and April 13) at 10:30 a.m. Children and their parents or caregivers are invited to attend. Family Fun Night Family Fun Night will be held at Rodman Public Library at 6:30 p.m. on the first two Tuesdays of April -- April 5 and April 12 -- before taking a break until next fall. Parents or caregivers and their children, ages 3 to 12, are invited to participate in the entertaining and educational evenings in Rodman Main Children's Department. Following stories, participants break into small groups to visit various stations where they play games, complete challenges and create crafts that provide fun for all ages. Storytime Storytime sessions will be held on the first two Thursdays of April before taking a break until the fall. Children, ages 3-5, and their parents or caregivers are invited to attend Storytime sessions on April 7 and April 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Main Library.
