RPL has Levy on November Ballot
 
Voters who reside in the Alliance and Marlington school districts will see a renewal levy for Rodman Public Library on their ballots for the November 8 election. There are no new taxes associated with the levy that accounts for 35 percent of the library's operating budget.
Branch to Host
Stuffed Animal Sleepover
 
Calling all stuffed animal friends!
 
Do you need a getaway? Would you like to meet new friends?
 
If so, on Friday, November 18, your human can drop you off at The Branch Library at 4:00 p.m. for a sleepover. We will have check-in activities to complete and a story.
 
Stuffed animals will get to enjoy many  shenanigans throughout the night. Pictures will be posted on the library's Facebook and Instagram pages so their humans can keep an eye on all the fun during the sleepover.
 
Humans can enjoy a light breakfast of doughnuts and juice when they pick up their stuffed animal friends on Saturday, November 19 at 10:30 a.m.

My Parent and Me Paint Night Set at RPL

Rodman Public Library will host a My Parent & Me Paint Night on Tuesday, November 15.

Children, ages 7-12, and their caregiver are invited to the Main Library at 6:00 p.m. and each will create a pumpkin painting on their two canvasses. All materials will be provided thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library.

Registration is required for both the child and their adult companion.

 Holiday Storytime Planned    at RPL Branch
 
Holiday Storytime will run for five weeks at the Rodman Branch Library between November 15 and December 13.
 
Miss Becky will share stories, songs, holiday fun facts and a special activity each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
 
No registration is necessary to attend Storytime, which is open to children of all ages and is intended to encourage lifelong readers through stories, music, movement, and activities.
 
Each week of Holiday Storytime will feature a different theme.
 
Celebrate Pokemon at RPL
 
To mark the launch of the new video game Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, Rodman Public Library will host an afternoon of Pokemon fun on Friday, November 18 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Attendees will not be playing the new video game, but will play other games and take part in other Pokemon-related activities. RPL to Host Christmas Movie Series in November
 
Rodman Public Library is getting into the holiday spirit early this year with a Christmas Movie Series during the month of November.

For three consecutive weeks, a holiday favorite will be shown on the big screen inside the Main Auditorium. Admission to the feature films will be free and fresh-popped popcorn will be provided by the library thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library.

All movies will begin at 5:30 p.m. and no registration is required to attend any of the movies, which are open to all ages. However, children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
 
CHECK OUT OUR POPULAR PROGRAMS 
Wee Read

Rodman Public Library will hold Wee Read on the Monday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m. as well as the first two Wednesdays --November 2 and November 9 -- at 10:30 a.m. before taking a break until January.
 
Children, ages birth through two years, and their parents or caregivers are invited to attend.
 
Wee Read includes stories, fingerplays, music and movement.
 
No registration is required.

Family Fun Night
 
Parents or caregivers and their children, ages 3 to 12, are invited to participate in an entertaining and educational evening in Rodman Main Children's Department as part
of Family Fun Night on the first two
Tuesdays of November,
including November 1 and November 8.
 
NOTE: Family Fun Night will take a break through the holiday season and return in January. 
 
During Family Fun Night, there are stories before participants break into small groups to visit various stations where they will play games, complete challenges and create crafts that will provide fun for all ages.
 
No registration is required.

Storytime
 
Children, ages 3-5, and their parents or caregivers are invited to attend Storytime sessions at Rodman Public Library on the first two weeks November.
 
Morning sessions will be held  at 10:30 a.m. on November 3 and November 10. 
 
Evening Storytime sessions will be held at 6:30 p.m. on November 1 and November 8 as part of Family Fun Night at the Main Library.
 
NOTE: Storytime will take a break through the rest of the holidays and will return in January. 
 
Storytime sessions are intended to encourage lifelong readers through stories, music, movement and activities.

Kids Gaming
 
 Kids Gaming is held on the first Wednesday of each month at Rodman Public Library in the Main Library Auditorium. From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., children, ages 8-12, are treated to open play of video games, Minecraft, etc. on devices provided by the library. The next session is Wednesday, November 2.

Kids Crafting
 
Children, ages 5-12, are invited to Rodman Public Library anytime between 4:00 and 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, November 10 to for a drop-in make and take kids crafting program to create a fall critter magnet. All materials used during monthly kids crafting programs are provided for free thanks to the Friends of Rodman Public Library. GET CRAFTY AT THE BRANCH
Hot Pots Storytime 
 
Turkeys will be the theme for November's Storytime with Hot Pots at the Rodman Branch Library.
 
Two sessions are planned, including one on Wednesday, November 2 from 6: 30 to 7:30 p.m. and another on Saturday, November 5 from 11 a.m. to noon.
 
Children, ages 3-12, will come to the Branch for a mini storytime and then proceed to Hot Pots, accompanied by their guardian, to paint a turkey figurine. 
 
The cost is $15 per figurine and registration is required. The fee for the event is payable to Hot Pots upon registration at hotpotspottery.com.

Branch Take and Make 
 
Starting Tuesday, November 1, children can stop by the Rodman Branch Library to pick up a pumpkin patch magnetic picture frame take and make project. All supplies for the craft are included as well as step-by-step instructions, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library. Supplies are limited and will be given out at a first come, first served basis. For more information, call 330-821-1313.
