Celebrate National Library Week at RPL Rodman Library encourages all community members to come in for a visit during National Library Week, April 23-29, to get the full story on what's going on in your library. Cardholders who borrow any materials will also get an entry into a special drawing. Upon checkout, patrons will receive an entry ticket and will choose whether they would rather win a $50 Amazon gift card or a family day pass to Funtimes Fun Park in Alliance. Winners will be chosen in May.

Teen Advisory Board Teens who want to help shape services and programs at Rodman Public Library are encouraged to join the Teen Advisory Board. A meeting will be held in the Main Library conference room from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4 for teens, ages 12-18, who are interested in joining. The group meets regularly on the first Tuesday of each month to discuss ideas for programming and the library's collection for teens. Hours spent attending Teen Advisory Board meetings and helping with projects will count as volunteer hours.

Teen D and D Opportunities at RPL Teens, 12-18, can sign up at Rodman Public Library to participate in an ongoing series of "one-shot" Dungeons and Dragons missions every month based on the Candlekeep Mysteries sourcebook. Players do not have to play consistently each month to participate. Those interested can sign up on a month-to-month basis. Space will be limited each month to six players. A DnD Beyond account and email address is required to play. The next session will be held Monday, April 10 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Main Library. Sessions are held on the second Monday of the month. October’s adventure will feature players on a quest to explore a mysterious adventure. Teen Writing Teens who have an interest in writing are encouraged to join Rodman Public Library for the Teen Writing Club. The group, which meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. at the Main Library, will be meeting March 8 and March 22 this month. Have fun meeting with your fellow teen writers to exchange ideas, hone your skills and share your work, if desired. No registration is required. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 217.

Teen Gaming Area teens, ages 12-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library every other Thursday to play their favorite video games on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Playstation 3 & 4, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo WiiU. Sessions this month will be held on April 6 and April 20 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Main Auditorium. Teens will have the opportunity to play a different game each week. Games with ratings from "E" for Everyone, up to "T" for Teen level will be offered. No registration is required for these free gaming events. Video gaming is in partnership with Synergy Alliance.

Teen Anime Club All teens, ages 12-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library on fourth Tuesday of each month for Teen Anime Club. The next session will be Tuesday, April 25 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Teens will have the chance to pick their favorite episodes to be shown on RPL's big screen. Science Reference Center Need some ideas for science fair projects, or some solid science resources? One of RPL’s online databases, Science Reference Center provides full text for hundreds of science magazines, journals, reference books and more than 2,000 high-quality videos. The database also contains more than 1,000 science experiments as well as curriculum-aligned lesson plans, and a vast image collection. Topics covered include biology, chemistry, earth and space science, environmental science, health and medicine, history of science, life science, physics, science and society, science as inquiry, scientists, technology and wildlife.
