RPL to Screen Hocus Pocus With the planned release of Hocus Pocus 2 at the end of September, Rodman Public Library is getting into the Halloween spirit a little early this year with an interactive movie event when it screens the original 1993 American fantasy comedy Hocus Pocus at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept.ember 26 on the big screen in the Main Auditorium.

Wee Read Rodman Public Library will host a Fall Wee Read session on Mondays and Wednesdays between September 12 and November 9. During that time, Wee Read will be offered every Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. and every Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m.
Children, ages birth through two years, and their parents or caregivers are invited to attend. Wee Read includes stories, fingerplays, music and movement. No registration is required. For information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 223.

Family Fun Night Each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. between September 13 and November 8, parents or caregivers and their children, ages 3 to 12, are invited to participate in an entertaining and educational evening in Rodman Main Children's Department as part of Family Fun Night. There will be stories before participants break into small groups to visit various stations where they will play games, complete challenges and create crafts that will provide fun for all ages. Storytime Children, ages 3-5, and their parents or caregivers are invited to attend Storytime sessions this fall at Rodman Public Library. Morning sessions will be held each Thursday at 10:30 a.m. between September 15 and November 10 at the Main Library. Evening Storytime sessions will be held each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. between September 13 and November 8 as part of Family Fun Night at the Main Library. Kids Gaming Kids Gaming is held on the first Wednesday of each month at Rodman Public Library in the Main Library Auditorium. From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., children, ages 8-12, are treated to open play of video games, Minecraft, etc. on devices provided by the library. The next session is Wednesday, September 7. "Kindness Sunflower" is Branch Take and Make in August Starting Thursday, September 1, children can stop by the Rodman Branch Library to pick up an "Kindness Sunflower" craft and make project. All supplies for the craft are included as well as step-by-step instructions, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library. Bookmobile Sets 2022-2023 Academic Year Schedule The Rodman Public Library Bookmobile will make 15 regular visits every two weeks during the 2022-2023 academic year. The 34-foot library on wheels runs two routes between late August and late May, providing service to thousands of students and their teachers at 13 area schools. Printed schedules can be obtained at the Main and Branch Libraries or on the Bookmobile. The schedule, complete with a map of stops, can be found here. The Bookmobile will also take part in a Touch-A-Truck event sponsored by the Alliance Lions Club and the Alliance Parks Department on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon at Butler-Rodman Park.
