Paws for Reading with Emma

London Public Library Reading Room
Register your child for a 10-minute time slot in which they will read a story to certified therapy dog, Emma. Emma is a nonjudgmental listener who will encourage children to read and help struggling readers find confidence. This event is intended for all ages. *Have a book picked out and ready to read for your time slot."

Reading Camp-In
Saturday, July 15th, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
London Public Library
Make a blanket fort at the library! Bring some blankets or sheets (we'll have a few on hand), and a pillow, if you like. Find a spot at the library to set up camp and read for as long as you'd like. We'll provide beach towel clamps and Walking S'mores! This event is intended for all ages.

Drummunity Circle
Monday, July 17th, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
London Public Library Hartley Meeting Room
Drum Circle leader Lori Fithian will bring her collection of hand drums and percussion toys to transform our community into a “drummunity!” This is a unique, interactive program where everyone participates – all ages, all abilities! If the weather is nice, yoga will take place in the grassy area behind the library. If bad weather occurs, yoga will take place in the Hartley Room. The program is for ages 8-12. The Puzzle Race

Grab your best puzzle buddy and compete to see who can win the puzzle race! Teams of two will have two hours to finish a 500-piece puzzle. The team to finish their puzzle the fastest will win a prize! Registration is required. The event is limited to 12 teams. Ages 10 and up. Registration instructions: Each team of two will choose one person to register their team. Only that person on the team needs to register. Every team must have two people.

Register now and get one-on-one help for any of your devices! Are you struggling to work the new iPad you got for Christmas? Maybe you want to set up a social media account but don't know where to start? Do you want to become more knowledgeable on how to work your email? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the London Public Library can help! We are now offering FREE Technology Help Sessions during the week by appointment only! Call or come in to schedule your help session! Each help session will provide a one-on-one 45-minute time block where you can ask questions and be shown how to use/do various tasks. Help session attendees must bring their own technology to learn on.
