Tech Help by AppointmentTuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM and Wednesdays at 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM Do you need help getting around your laptop or tablet? Would you like to set up an email account? Do you want to download an eBook? Need help searching for and applying for jobs? Tech help appointments are now available. Appointments last up to 1 hour. Registration is required.

Trivia NightFriday, February 2 at 6:00 pm Join us for trivia night and your team might win a prize! Teams can be up to 4 people, and if you don't have a team you can join one. Please bring something for the potluck appetizers; we'll provide the mocktails and dessert. You might even win a door prize! For adults 18+. Registration is rquired. The library will be open to adults from 6:00 pm till 8:30 pm.

Art Exhibit & BenefitThroughout February View the art of Janet Myrto Richards on exhibit in Salina Library throughout February. Each piece is the original artwork, hand drawn with various pens and pencils, then matted and framed. A portion of the proceeds of sales will be donated to Salina Library.

Art RaffleBegins Wednesday, February 7 The Friends of Salina Library are having an art raffle! You could win a big bag of art supplies from The Art Store, along with an original piece of art from Janet Myrto Richards. Get inspired to create something wonderful! Tickets are available for a $1.00 donation; drawing will be held on March 4th. For adults 18+.

Crafts for Seniors: Heart Bookmark Friday, February 2 at 11:00 am Craft and chat with other seniors! We're making a heart bookmark out of pounded wire. For adults 50+. Registration is required.

Let's Eat: Bread Tuesday, February 6 at 6:00 pm Create your favorite bread then bring it to the library with the recipe. Sample everyone's offerings while you discuss baking bread! For adults 18+. Registration is required.

Circle of Friends Friday, February 9 at 11:00 am Adults with disabilities, along with a mentor or family member, can meet up at the library to socialize, play games, and eat lunch together. For adults 18+. Please register.

Writing Group Wednesday, February 14 at 6:30 pm Hone your writing skills or learn to write for various media. Facilitated by Debbie Stack, local author, editor, and TV scriptwriter, this group is a great way to get feedback and share questions and ideas. For adults 18+. Registration is required.

Medicare 101 Friday, February 16 at 12:00 pm Get your Medicare questions answered; drop in between 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm. This program is coordinated by the FamilyCare Medical Group and Salt City Senior Care Advantage Group.

Crochet Pattern: Spiky Granny Begins Thursday, February 1 Crochet along with us and make the 2024 afghan "Variations on a Granny". February's pattern is the "Spiky Granny", along with tips and everything you need to know about the afghan. Pick up the pattern, or any previous months' patterns, any time the library is open.

The Salina Library Presents: Blast Off to Kindergarten! Looking for a fun, simple, and inexpensive way to bond with your young child and get him/her ready for school? Let's READ! When you first sign up for Blast Off to Kindergarten, you receive a bag with information on how to help your child prepare for Kindergarten as well as a folder with your first reading sheet. Whenever you read a book to your child, color in one of the pictures on the sheet. When it's all filled in, bring it to the circulation desk to receive your next sheet and a sticker. Completing certain sheets means earning an extra prize! Each child who completes the program will receive a free book and certificate!

Early Learners Story Time Wednesdays, 11:00 AM – February 7, 14, 21, & 28 Make learning fun! Your child will learn important early literacy and social skills with stories, rhymes, and songs, in a setting appropriate to their needs. No registration is required. For children ages 2-4 years old, with accompanying adult. Feel free to pick up a monthly Storytime at Home Kit for coloring pages, a craft, sticker, as well as songs and rhymes to join along with Miss Monica -- or create your own storytime -- from home! Salina Teen Warriors Tuesday, February 13 at 4:30 pm Are you a teen in grades 6-12 who loves the library and wants to give back to the community? Pick up an application at our circulation desk to join our Teen Advisory Group, the Salina Warriors! Members will be helping to brainstorm and create activities for the library, and more!
