Children's Programs

The Salina Library Presents: Blast Off to Kindergarten!
Looking for a fun, simple, and inexpensive way to bond with your young child and get him/her ready for school? Let's READ!
When you first sign up for Blast Off to Kindergarten, you receive a bag with information on how to help your child prepare for Kindergarten as well as a folder with your first reading sheet. Whenever you read a book to your child, color in one of the pictures on the sheet. When it's all filled in, bring it to the circulation desk to receive your next sheet and a sticker. Completing certain sheets means earning an extra prize! Each child who completes the program will receive a free book and certificate!

Fun For All Story Time
Tuesdays, 11:00 AM – August 6 & 13
Preschoolers and early elementary aged children alike will enjoy stories, interactive rhymes and songs, and a craft, based on a different theme each week! For ages 3-7. We will be meeting outside by the garden, weather permitting. Families/groups are requested to bring a beach towel or picnic blanket if possible for a family space, and a few will be available if needed.

Feel free to pick up a monthly Storytime at Home Kit for coloring pages, a craft, sticker, as well as songs and rhymes to join along with Miss Monica -- or create your own storytime -- from home!
