Take Home Craft Kits
Looking for something to do this month? Salina Library offers FREE monthly kits for a variety of ages! Call the library at 315-454-4524 to reserve a kit.
 
Storytime Kits
Storytime Kits contain coloring sheets with songs and rhymes, a monthly craft, and fun stickers! The kits follow our weekly Virtual Early Learners Storytime themes. Join our virtual storytime on Wednesday mornings at 11:00 a.m. by signing up for the Zoom sessions at https://onlibsalina.evanced.info/signup or use the songs, rhymes, and book lists on the coloring sheets to create your own! The kits best for ages 3-6.
 
Adult Craft Kit
A new craft is offered on the third Monday of every month for adults 18+. Many types of crafting techniques are used, but each comes with step-by-step instructions and photos. 
 
Craft Kit for Adults with Special Needs
This kit can be completed with a friend or family member. It’s released on the fourth Monday of each month and is available for a month or while supplies last.
 
Crochet Kit:
The crochet kits are for intermediate crocheters. Each kit contains a pattern and the yarn needed to complete the project; you’ll need to have the hook. Crochet kits are released on the first Monday of each month. Need help with your project? Email Janet at ASRP@salinalibrary.org with any questions.

One-on-One Technology Help
Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM and Wednesdays at 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM
Do you need help getting around your laptop or tablet? Would you like to set up an email account? Do you want to download an eBook? Need help searching for and applying for jobs? One-on-one technology help appointments are now available. Appointments last up to 1 hour. Registration is required. Masks are required. This program is supported with federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds allocated to the New York State Library by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

  • Available Monday, May 2. Bird Feeder- Make a small hanging bird feeder. You'll need a G hook; everything else is provided. While supplies last.
  • Available Monday, May 9: Activity Kit: Hummingbird Feeder & Perch.  Craft a colorful feeding station for hummingbirds. For adults 18+. While supplies last.
  • Available Monday, May 16: Craft Kit: Butterfly Feeder. Bring the butterflies to your yard with this feeder. For adults 18+. While supplies last.
  • Available Monday, May 23: Craft Kit for Adults with Disabilities: Rainbow Spinner. Create a colorful spinner then watch it turn in the wind. Limit 10 per group. While supplies last.

Monthly craft kit for kids & teens that require minimal if any supplies from home.  Recommended for ages 6 and up. Story Time Kit
Each month, Miss Monica will prepare a Storytime Kit to go along with that month’s story time themes.  Each kit contains: one coloring page for each week, with songs and rhymes to go with the weekly theme; a sticker, and a monthly craft.  Recommended for ages 3-6. Bonus Kit: Star Wars
May the 4th be with you!  We’re celebrating Star Wars Day with a special craft kit—DIY Pool Noodle Light Saber! Each kit will contain materials and instructions for making your own light saber using a pool noodle and duct tape, plus more Star Wars goodies!  Kits will be available starting May 2nd and can be picked up at the library as supplies last.  Recommended for ages 5 and up.  To pick up a kit, stop by the library or set up a Curbside Pickup appointment by calling us at 315-454-4524.

Early Learners Story Time Online
